NASCAR thinks it should be like the NBA or NFL! It's not and never will be! You can break it into segments like to quarters or NBA/NFL, you can call it overtime and say it's the playoffs! It's still not the NFL/NBA! IT'S NASCAR! STOP TRYING TO BE LIKE THEM!!!!!!!!! BE NASCAR!
By the way, NBA/NFL does NOT give the teams points because they lead the quarters! You could lead 3 quarters and lose it in the last few minutes! They only list the WINNERS! STOP LISTENING TO WHINING DRIVERS COMPLAINING THE LEAD THE MUST LAPS AND SHOULD GET SOMETHING! NO THEY SHOULDN'T, THEY LOST!
Stop screwing with the cars! You've turned it into BORING racing. FOLLOW THE LEADER! We like action! We don't want to see anyone hurt but we want action!
Ever wonder why the NFL/NBA are on major TV networks? It's because they get to everyone, those on cable, satellite and over the air. STOP CHANGING NETWORKS! GET WITH NBC or CBS or ABC or FOX!

NASCAR has become ALL ABOUT the $$$$$$$$$ You have forgotten about US, the FANS, the people who made NASCAR!
Let's start with the drivers, they make an average 1 MILLION to 20 MILLION in salaries, bonus's and endorsements! THEY WORK 10 MONTHS A YEAR! Now you have cut back on the race weeks because they are over worked?
YOU HAVE GOT ONE THING LIKE THE NFL/NBA, THEY DRIVERS ARE GROSSLY OVER PAID! JUST LIKE THE NBA/NFL PLAYERS!
NASCAR only thinks about the dollars! NASCAR makes an estimated billion per year plus TV income. Every race on TV there is nothing but ads, every where, starting line, in the cars, across the TV, ad after ad! It's sickening!
If NASCAR wants to save itself it needs to do the following!
- STOP LISTENING TO THE DRIVERS! THEY HAVE THEIR OWN AGENDA.
- FIND A NATIONAL TV NETWORK (nbc abc fox cbs) SO EVERYONE CAN WATCH.
- WORK WITH OWNERS TO CUT THE SALARIES OF EVERYONE!
- WORK WITH THE TRACK OWNERS TO COME UP WITH BETTER PRICES FOR THE FANS.
- GO BACK TO THE CHASE! RESTRUCTURE POINTS SYSTEM TO LEAN MORE ON WINNING.
- CUT THE FIELD TO MAX 36 ON ALL TRACKS EXCEPT 1/2 MILE WHICH WOULD BE 30.
- KEEP THE RACE SESSIONS BUT NO PLAYOFF POINTS!
- MAKE THE CARS HARDER TO DRIVE.
- WORRY ABOUT THE FANS, NOT THE $$$$$$$$
This may not save NASCAR but at least you would have tried!
